Politically, Ben worked as Managing Operations Officer for Mayor Rahm Emanuel (D) in Chicago and as a Director for Governor Charlie Baker (R) in Massachusetts, leading projects in economic development, government efficiency, energy, and transportation infrastructure. In 2022, he ran for Congress in Missouri's Second Congressional District, ending his run when Missouri's legislature drew his house out of the district.​
